I am writing this letter on behalf of Heidi's Musical gymnastics program, which is directed by Heidi De La Rocha.
I have known Mrs. De La Rocha for many years, regarding her musical gymnastics program and her being involved with a lot of my
special needs patients, including patients with hypotonia, developmental delay, cerebral palsy, and spina bifida.
As a result of her working with these children and handling these children, I have noted that they have had improvement in range of
motion, standing , and static balance activities and increasing trunk control. The families and children seem to enjoy attending her
program, especially as they get a little older and they are more resistant to handling of a physical therapist. They seem to like the
group setting and working in this fun way with someone such as Mrs. De La Rocha. I have been very pleased with the results, and I
have only had positive feedback from the parents and family.
I am currently the medical director at East Tennessee Children's Hospital Rehab Center...I have been working in East Tennessee for
over 14 yrs. Now seeing special needs children with motoric delays.
Yours Truly,
Nadine Trainer, M.D. Medical Director of Rehab Services.
